VBS 2019 – Friday, June 14th
Timber Ridge Presbyterian Church gathered for our annual Vacation Bible School on Friday, June 14. Our theme this year was “The Parables of Jesus” and specifically we focused on the parables of “the weeds, the mustard seed, and the yeast”.
The children (and others), joined the members of the Christian Education Committee at 5:00 pm to sow seedlings of marigolds in their personalized clay pots. After that, they listened to the story of the yeast as they made dough and followed up with creating “pigs in a blanket”.
We enjoyed those pigs in a blanket for dinner, along with many other dishes that church members brought in to share. Desserts, too!
After dinner, Pastor Patrick showed a video of the Parables of Jesus. We had a question and answer time and shared thoughts on the video presentation.
The church wants to thank Linda Kuehne, chair of the Christian Education Committee, for making this year’s VBS fun and educational. We are looking forward to next year’s adventure!
