FALL FESTIVAL – OCT. 16 2021

The Fall Festival is fast approaching and there are still things to be done.  The week of the festival is full of opportunities for you to help.  With our current Covid situation, many folks may be reluctant to come out to help with the group activities, however, there are others ways you can help make this festival successful.  Remember to keep this endeavor in your prayers.  Items for the bake sale and yard sale are needed.  There are opportunities for you donate food items to help feed the workers for four days   Below is a time line of events for the week:

Sunday, October 10 – 2:00 pm – Jar Washing/ Kettle preparation in the Community Building

Tuesday, October 12 – 6:30 am – begin making 2 kettles of apple butter

(breakfast and lunch provided)

Wednesday, October 13 – 6:30 am – begin making 2 kettles of apple butter

(breakfast and lunch provided)

Thursday, October 14 – 9:00 am cut up chicken, turkey and vegetables for stew

(bring lunch)

Friday, October 15,  6:00 am – make 2 kettles of Brunswick Stew

(breakfast and lunch provided)

Friday, October 15, 10 am – set up tables in the community building for the festival

Saturday, October 16, 5:30 am – make 2 kettles of Brunswick Stew

(breakfast provided)

Saturday, October 16, 6:00 am – help carry yard sale items outside

Yard Sale – Items can be left at the community building starting October 3.  The community building will be open on Sundays from 9:30 – 4:00 – contact Julie Lipscomb with questions

We need folks to help with parking, managing the bake sale table and collecting money from the yard sale.  Please consider how you might help in these parts of the festival.

Please remember that we will need baked goods, pickles, preserves, etc on the day of the festival for the Bake Sale as well as plastic grocery bags!!
