Pastoral Epistles
1 and 2 Timothy along with Titus are known as the Pastoral Epistles because they consist largely of pastoral advice on how to deal with problems in churches both in Ephesus and in Crete. They presuppose the same false teachers, the same organization, and entirely similar conditions in the community. They move within the same relative theological concepts and have the same peculiarities of language and style.It would make sense to study all three letters together, but in this Bible study, I’ve chosen to concentrate on 1 and 2 Timothy.
