Timber Ridge Presbyterian Church

February 22, 2009

 

WELCOME TO TIMBER RIDGE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.  Whether you are a visitor, a long-time member, or fall somewhere in between, it is a joy to be together to worship God on the Lord’s Day.  We’re glad you’re here!

 

PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT after you are settled or during the morning announcements to sign the Visitor/Member cards.  Members may make address or other changes or prayer requests on the reverse side.  Please drop the cards in the collection plate.  Thank you for your help!

 

New Office hours: The Pastor's office hours will be on Mondays and Fridays at the manse from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm with visitations after office hours; and on Tuesdays hours will be at the Fairfield office from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm with visitations after office hours.

 

there will be a called congregational meeting today, following the Morning Worship service to elect Billy Ware as an additional Trustee.

Family Lenten Devotionals have been provided for the congregation by the Christian Ed. committee. Please pick yours up in the vestibule.

 

A Communicants class will be offered this spring.  If anyone is interested in participating please contact Carl Moore or Lisa Turpin.

 

THE MEN’S BREAKFAST will resume on Saturday, February 28th at Fairfield.

 

The Ridge Runners Relay for Life team members are accepting $1 donations for a chance to win a framed P. Buckley Moss print titled “Life in a Small Town”. The print features Lexington Presbyterian Church and a Lexington Carriage Co. team and is valued at $250. If you would like to participate in this fundraiser please see Beth Armstrong. Anyone who would like to join the 2009 Ridge Runners Relay for Life team can register online at  www.RelayForLife.org/rockbridge or see Beth Armstrong to fill out a registration form.  There is a $10 registration fee for all members this year.
 

THE MAURY RIVER MISSION COMMUNITY clergy will have a Pulpit Swap on April 26, 2009.  Carl will preach at McCutcheon at 9:30 and Ben Salem at 11:00.  Betty Dax will be preaching at Fairfield and Timber Ridge.
