But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of Gods grace.  Acts 20:24 (NRSV)

WHAT'S NEW

Timber Ridge Presbyterian Church

January 4, 2009

WELCOME TO TIMBER RIDGE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.  Whether you are a visitor, a long-time member, or fall somewhere in between, it is a joy to be together to worship God on the Lord’s Day.  We’re glad you’re here!

PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT after you are settled or during the morning announcements to sign the Visitor/Member cards.  Members may make address or other changes or prayer requests on the reverse side.  Please drop the cards in the collection plate.  Thank you for your help!

2009 Offering Envelopes can be picked up in the vestibule.  For any questions or problems please see Beth Armstrong.

Today we rejoice in the installation of our new officers for the Class of 2011.  Special thanks to Kathy Cummins, Anne Henry, Mike Henry, and Edie MacCorkle for accepting this responsibility.  We pray for blessings upon them as they continue to work for our church.

The Annual Congregational Meeting will be held on January 25, 2009 in the community building immediately following the Morning Worship Service.  Please plan to attend to hear reports from each committee regarding their actions of 2008 and the plans for 2009!

Many thanks to all of those who kept us in their prayers, brought food, sent cards, called and paid visits to us during the death of Pete's father.  Everything was greatly appreciated and heartfelt.
                                                                        Thanks again,
                                                                        Pete and Cricket Norcross

Anyone who would like to join the 2009 Ridge Runners Relay for Life team can register online at  www.RelayForLife.org/rockbridge or see Beth Armstrong to fill out a registration form.  There is a $10 registration fee for all members this year.
