TRPC has undertaken various projects over the years to help persons in need. These include spaghetti dinners and pancake breakfasts, Rock-a-Thons, Crop Walks, volunteering at the local food bank, helping clean homes after floods, preparing meals and visiting with homeless people, the glove and mitten tree, Christmas Angel Trees, Christmas Shoebox program, Heifer International, including providing enough funds to float an entire ark, work days at Presbyterian Children's homes in Lynchburg and Wytheville, visitation programs for members and newcomers to the area, and other things listed on the pages above. Other outreach includes sponsoring outside groups and guest speakers such as the Birmingham Southern choir, Ben Johnson program, and helping with a Billy Graham program held at Virginia Military Institute.
