Prelude                                         

Call to Worship          The Lord be with you.

                                          And also with you.

Pastor: Faith is a marvelous gift of God! Through faith, we are children of God in union with Christ.

People: As children of God, we are recipients of all that he has promised to his children.

Pastor: Yes, and our union with Christ makes us brothers and sisters with all who have been baptized in him.

People: May God our Father help us to be like Christ our Savior, in whom we have found our true being.

Dear Father, we know we are Your children, but our lifestyle makes it difficult for us to be what you have created us to be. We know Your laws can show us right from wrong, but they cannot help us do right. Forgive us for our weak union with Christ Your Son, which hinders our enjoyment in being Your children. Increase our faith so that we may become a part of Your family, and enjoy the inheritance You have offered to us.  Hear us we pray, in Jesus' name.  Amen.
